With imminent Annecy International Animated Film Festival, Digital Dimension unveiled earlier this week its latest TV series trailer for IMPROBABLE PIRATE ADVENTURES. In the short video are presented the three main characters into a mute goofy story that shall please everyone, no matter their age.
Improbable Pirate Adventures is a character-driven slapstick comedy where you are invited to join a 9-year-old orphan girl, a human-sized parrot captain, and a runaway theme park animatronic who explore the town of Eccentricity, making big deals out of little things while living their pirate life to the fullest.
This 52 episodes of 11 minutes each comedy is first addressed to a younger public of 6 to 11 years old and will be developed using Unreal technology which offers real-time rendering and offers an opportunity to save a considerable production time.
Recently, Digital Dimension stood out by its technological advancements when using a video game engine for the whole production of a kids TV series. With Zafari now being broadcasted in multiple countries such as France and Canada, Digital Dimension is officially the world’s first studio to use said technology at such a large scale. This work methodology will also be used while developing the studio’s new animated creations, which of course also means Improbable Pirate Adventures.
François Garcia, Montreal studio’s VP Business Development, will be present at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival from June 11th, until June 15th to unveil Improbable Pirate Adventures to some of the industry’s key players and to present the business’ complete service offer.
